Why Invest in East London? This was the focus of Sina Overseas Properties UK’s first event that captivated the 200 investors in attendance. Co-hosted by “The Wharf” newspaper and sole-sponsored by Jones Lang LaSalle the event was a resounding success that saw a group of leading industry experts offering their insights and opinions into the property development of East London.
The event started with Sally Wang, Associate Director from Sina Overseas Properties UK by stressing the amazing changes in China, its impact in the property market and their solution of bridging the UK property industry and Chinese investors together.
Mr Edward Morton Jack, Marketing Associate Director from Greenland went into details of their plans in London.
Jones Lang LaSalle have lived up to their reputation of leading researchers of the property industry, with Neil Chegwidden (Director of Residential Research) and Tina Yi (Head of China Desk), shared their insights into the market of Canary Wharf and East London and bold future it holds.
Sabrina Li from Bank of China discussed the financial products available to the Chinese buyers, providing practical guidance.
Last but not least, Howard Dawber, the Strategic Advisor to Canary Wharf Group plc captured the attention of the whole room with his vision and analysis of “Canary Wharf in the next five years”.
A well-known solicitor firm Gawor & Co and a couple of developments – Dollar Bay and Glasshouse Gardens also were on site.
The event was not only a great showcase of the dramatic changes in China, but also a milestone to UK property industry’s engagement with the Chinese property buyers.
